Super Fun Interview with Books Complete Me!

Interview with Kimberley Griffiths Little & The Healing Spell ARC Giveaway

I am so excited to share with you today my interview with author Kimberley Griffiths Little. I just posted my review of her book The Healing Spell yesterday so if you haven't yet read it, you can do so HERE. I hope you enjoy the interview and be sure to enter the great giveaway below.

BCM: What is your biggest fear?

KGL:  Dying young. Falling. Car wrecks. Spiders. Snakes. Gosh, does that sound gruesome!?!

BCM: If you could be anything in the world besides a writer, what would it be?

KGL: I’d be a rich society girl with superpowers living in the South on a plantation in the 19th century. With lots of fans, iced lemonade, and gorgeous beaus, of course. Oh, wait, that’s the novel I’m working on right now!

I’d be a librarian or a book reviewer (living in the south in an old plantation.) Do you think it’s too late to make a career and location change?

BCM: What is your favorite mother-daughter memory?

KGL: When I was a kid I kissed my mom goodbye every morning as I left for school. We’d play a game as I walked down the porch where we’d try to say goodbye using as many different languages and farewell expressions as we could think of and see who could outlast the other. We’d say “Au Revoir”, “Sayonara”, “Goodbye”, “Farewell”, and things like “Later Gator” and “In Awhile Crocodile”.

A more recent memory is when I got together with my mother and my two sisters for my mom’s birthday. I live out of state and flew in without her knowing anything about it so she was really surprised! We took her out to a spa for massages and pedicures and then lunch at her favorite restaurant.

BCM: What was the last song you sang out loud?

KGL: “Popcorn popping on the Apricot Tree” with the 2 year old that lives with me. He’s very cute. And cuddly.

BCM: Name one person you'd love to have dinner with (dead or alive) and tell us why.

KGL: I’d LOVE to meet Charlotte Bronte and find out all the secrets of her family and why everybody died young and if there was foul play involved.

Or I’d LOVE to sit in a room with all the previous Newbery Award winners and hear their delicious tales of getting the award and what it was like and how it changed their lives. Fascinating stuff. Maybe when I get to heaven  . . .

BCM: Name one word you have had to look up the spelling for over and over.

KGL: Wracked/racked. I am wracked/racked by the correct spelling of this word! Not even my spell-check underlines this word in red!

BCM: Do you have any silly talents that you can share with us?

KGL: I can eat a whole pan of brownies by myself. I once ate a whole pan of brownie dough with my best friends, Starr, when we were ten years old. I belly dance, too and always wanted to be a ballet dancer, but I grew way too tall. I often daydream/talk out loud, especially when I’m working on a new story project. I need to ponder ideas aloud - and I close my door so nobody hears me.
