Shocking Publisher's Marketplace Announcement!!!

This all went down in the last 3 days! I'm black and blue from pinching myself, picking myself up off the floor, stunned, thrilled - such a mix of emotion! A surreal dream . . . of a story (that became a trilogy) I began researching about 8 years ago. My first draft was written in 2005. Then the project underwent another 6 years of revisions, re-imagining, changing viewpoint, adding plot, developing characters, etc.

Children's: Young Adult
Kimberley Griffiths Little's GODDESS, pitched as "the YA Red Tent", to Karen Chaplin at Harper Children's, in a significant deal, in a pre-empt, in a three-book deal, for publication in beginning in 2013, by Tracey Adams at Adams Literary (US).

Most stunning of all is that I made Thursday's Publisher's Lunch first place announcement!

Been walking around giddy and dancing with a great big grin on my face! I've been 20 years getting to this point with my craft and storytelling. Writing my heart out. Getting hundreds of rejections. A long journey, but I feel like, in so many ways, I'm just beginning, I'm still learning so much . . . and the best part is yet to come. But right now - at last - I'm very excited to share Jayden's story with all my friends and family and readers in 2013!!

The story takes place in a fascinating time period that I love and it's a very sexy romance. Girl Power. Sisterhood. Belly dancing. Camels. Tribal Raids. Sword-fighting. Mesopotamia at the time of Abraham.

Pictures below from some book-signings for CIRCLE OF SECRETS the past two weeks! (Notice the castle cake from Chapter 2!)

Whoa! That's so awesome! Go, you!

So does this mean they're going to get the books out in audio? I can read so many more books using audiobooks than I can sitting down. I'm dyin'!

So, so excited for you, Kimberley. I honestly can't wait for 2013!

Hope things are going well with CIRCLE OF SECRETS. It was available at the Scholastic book fair at my kids' school last week. I was excited when the librarian said she'd purchased copies for the school library - even before I told her what an awesome book it is :)

Yay! So excited for you and all your accomplishments.
